ACCESSIBILITY + INCLUSIVITY : What does it really mean ?
Accessibility : is strongly related to universal design which is the process of creating products that are usable by people with the widest possible range of abilities , operating within the widest possible range of situations. This is about making things accessible to all people (whether they have a disability or not )
Inclusivity : is an intention or policy of including people who might otherwise be excludes or marginalized such as those who are handicapped or learning-disabled or racial and sexual minorities in better words it also means : the quality of trying to include many different types of people and treat them all fairly and equally .
TASK OF THE DAY :
wright number of things seen in front of us :
bag, phone , paper , laptop screen , table, cables, mouse, wall, posters on the wall .
wright number of things felt with our eyes closed :
my hair touching my face , the clothes on my body , the shoes tightness on my feet , cold breeze, the watch on my wrist , my teeth touching my tongue.
wright number of things heard :
radiation, steps, voices on the corridor, clock ticking , chairs, keys , pen droping.
TASK 2: TRACY EMIN , 'MY BED':
use words to describe the image given to the rest of the group , trying to intrepate piece of art in ways that are no obvious to make it accessible
> its personal > its confortable > changes with time > its messy > its intimate > its something the you wouldnt share with a random individual > there are layers to it > can be pricey or cheap > can be clean or dirty > its something you can sleep on
Task 3 : record sounds that describe the art work shown to the group and upload to youtube channel .
TASK OF THE DAY : Re-intrepate the '' SCREAM '' with one word : DEPRESSING.
>>> CREATE soundscapes for the painting without using the sound of the scream and present in to the group then upload to personal Youtube channel at home .
The Scream by Edvard Munch 1893
SOUNDSCAPES
''A soundscape is a sound or combination of sounds that forms or arises from an immersiveenvironment. The study of soundscape is the subject of acoustic ecology or soundscape ecology. The idea of soundscape refers to both the natural acoustic environment, consisting of natural sounds, including animal vocalizations, the collective habitat expression of which is now referred to as the biophony, and, for instance, the sounds of weather and other natural elements, now referred to as the geophony; and environmental sounds created by humans, the anthropophony through a sub-set called controlled sound, such as musical composition, sound design, and language, work, and sounds of mechanical origin resulting from use of industrial technology. Crucially, the term soundscape also includes the listener's perception of sounds heard as an environment: "how that environment is understood by those living within it" and therefore mediates their relations. The disruption of these acoustic environments results in noise pollution. ''
SOUNDSCAPE WEBSITES AND APPS : -- BBC Sound Effects -- WEARVR -- GARAGEBAND
Artists that incorporate soundscapes to their art work :
Nico Muhly.
Chris Watson.
Gabriel Yared
Why do I like or dislike them ? : The artists work are very interesting to the ear since most of the artists that make soundscapes are musical compositors, their musical pieces tend to widen the public's imagination altering one's feelings about what's being presented , this is a great way of presenting art for those who are physically unable to visualise it .

JENNY SAVILLE:
(born 7 May 1970) is a contemporary British painter associated with the Young British Artists . She is known for her large-scale painted depictions of nude women . Saville works and lives in Oxford, England.
At the end of Saville's postgraduate education, the leading British art collector,Charles Saatchi, purchased her senior show. He offered the artist an 18-month contract, supporting her while she created new works to be exhibited in the Saatchi Gallery in London. The collection,Young British Artists III, exhibited in 1994 with Saville's self-portrait,Plan, as the signature piece.Rising quickly to critical and public recognition in part through Saatchi's patronage, Saville has been noted for creating art through the use of a classical standard—figure painting. Although Saville's chosen method is traditional, she has found a way to reinvent figure painting and regain its position in the context of art history. Known primarily for her large-scale paintings of nude women, Saville has also emerged as a(YBA). Much of her work features distorted flesh, high-caliber brush strokes and patches of oil color, while others reveal the surgeon's mark of a plastic surgery operation. In 1994, Saville spent many hours observing plastic surgery operations in New York City.Saville has dedicated her career to traditional figurative oil painting. Her painterly style has been compared to that of Lucian Freud and Rubens . Her paintings are usually much larger than life size. They are strongly pigmented and give a highly sensual impression of the surface of the skin as well as the mass of the body. She sometimes adds marks onto the body, such as white "target" rings. Since her debut in 1992, Saville's focus has remained on the female body, slightly deviating into subjects with "floating or indeterminate gender ," painting large scale paintings of transgender people. Her published sketches and documents include surgical photographs of liposuction, trauma victims, deformity correction, disease states and transgender patients.
'' Stare '' 2004-05
'' Shift '' 1996-97
These two pieces of art work are my favourites from Jenny Saville because of the emotions and feelings they transmit and also the detail, composition and form of it , Jenny really shows her talents and they are almost like she transmit a powerful message through them . I have recreated the "stare" as a screen print and it is still now my best recreated art work
